Damn Good Puff adds Pizzazz to any Printed Garment

August 12, 2010

Add pizzazz to prints with Damn Good Puff Additive, distributed by Performance Screen Supply. This special effect product can be added to any plastisol ink up to 25% to create a puffed effect. Puff ink is ideal for printing six-panel caps or any wearable with a seam as it can completely hide it.

The additive contains a special blowing agent that makes the ink expand when it reaches a temperature of 260 degrees F. although a temperature of 330 degrees F. must be reached for total curing of the plastisol. The recommended usage is to stack layers for the most durable, abrasion-resistant print. Add between 5% and 10% to the ink, then using an 83 count mesh, print and flash the first layer. Then print and flash a second layer on top of the first.

It comes in one-quart and one-gallon containers. Supplies are shipped from New Jersey or Utah so no matter where you are located, you are two days or less away from delivery. Check often for ongoing specials, which offer opportunities for savings on these staple screen print shop supplies.

With its two locations in Manalapan, New Jersey and Salt Lake City, Utah, Performance Screen Supply ships to all 50 states and around the world. For more information, call (800) 659-8337; fax (800) 808-8337; email: bob@performancescreen.com or visit the Web site at www.performancescreensupply.com.
